starting on a good note

it's been a gorgeous autumn sunny day and a good start back at 'school'. already got a first project for illustration 3 to work on! have been looking at some ideas and will now start on the brainstorming stage. yay for new beginnings! 

wishing us all a highly creative week :) 

looking up and forward

tomorrow will be my first day back at uni for the third and final year of my degree. and i'm now ready for it. looking up and forward to this new cycle, new projects, ideas and processes. a new start is always a good thing right?! 

better go and pack my rucksack now :) HAPPY SUNDAY!

measuring and cutting

some shots from the day, oh boy it's been a beautiful sunny one! and i've been measuring and cutting for that tiny project that hasn't really turned out to be humm... tiny...as with any job, i usually tend to underestimate the amount of work involved but it's now well on its way...

can you guess what it is yet? (from this little sneak preview)... i will keep you posted on the unfolding of it :) just don't want to make the same mess i did with the space cadets zine so will reveal the whole thing, when it's ready, that is...

i'm still stuffed from the lunchtime food market trip. i only had to nip out to wimbledon to get some glue stick but ended up pigging myself badly with paella, french crepe, italian cheese and lots of turkish sweet samples they were giving away...very bad for the weight but good for the self indulging soul :) 

UPDATE: how can i have forgotten about it??? anairam posted about the space cadets zine :) she's so sweet! interesting how the zine made it around the world, literally... i was showing the envelopes of the last lot (just before i posted) to my boss and they were going to: south africa, USA, netherlands, australia, germany, greece and egypt!!!! how cool! THANKS GUYS!!!

colour, sketching and decisions

ufff, busy day! it's 11pm and i'm still working :0 yes, working on a mini tiny project and will very soon be able to share it here. deciding on colour, layout and final format, etc ...getting there...hope you've all had a good day too!

blind date II

having had a wonderful first blind date , the second one couldn't have been better! isn't it interesting how we imagine our e friends and how different they turn out to be in real time? my second date came all the way from israel!!! Tal is a gorgeous and serene human being and we had a lovely afternoon at my favorite cake shop in soho. we then perused some of the design shops in the west end whilst getting to know a little more about each other.

i am so grateful for this community. it gives me hope and motivation to carry on creating, sharing and exchanging ideas. i guess inspiration comes both ways. thank you Tal for a delightful afternoon and thank you e-friends, you're all so great!
